Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Zideons LLC collects, uses, and shares information when you visit zideons.com, create or manage an account, use connected sign-in flows, or contact us.

Last updated: April 28, 2026

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, including support emails or contact requests you send us, account details such as your email address and authentication provider, and optional profile information such as your profile name.

For new user account creation, we collect email and password credentials when you sign up with email/password, or account identity details from Google when you use Google sign-in. We also process related account-security events such as email verification, password-reset requests, and email-change verification.

If you use connected single sign-on (SSO) flows for participating Zideons apps, we may process app identifiers, approved redirect details, and short-lived one-time SSO codes needed to complete sign-in securely.

Cookies, storage, and retention

We use an HTTP-only session cookie (firebase_session) to keep signed-in users authenticated. We also use sessionStorage for temporary sign-in state such as verification resend cooldowns and localStorage to remember cookie-consent choices and cache AI news cards in your browser.

For security, authenticated sessions may expire after periods of inactivity.

If we add advertisements later, we may use advertising or measurement cookies only with your consent. You can manage these choices through the cookie banner.

User profiles, site content records, SSO-related records, and one-time SSO codes are stored in Google Cloud Firestore. Site assets are stored in Google Cloud Storage or Firebase Storage. SSO codes expire after about 5 minutes and are invalid after use. Session cookies default to 14 days unless configured otherwise.

How we use information

We use your information to respond to inquiries, authenticate users, operate account features, secure restricted areas, and publish site content.

For new user signups, we use your email to create your account, send verification emails, and enforce verified-email sign-in for email/password accounts.

The site fetches RSS feeds and may use Google Gemini to curate AI news and draft summaries when configured. If enabled, we may send app titles, descriptions, or public URLs to Gemini for summarization.

If you use profile self-service features, we process requests such as profile name updates, password-reset emails, email-change verification, and account deletion to maintain account functionality and security. If you delete your account through the profile page, we remove related Firestore profile records and then attempt to delete the corresponding Firebase Authentication account.

Performance caching

To improve performance and reduce loading times, the site temporarily caches certain frequently accessed data, such as rendered public pages, homepage content, app listings, and AI news results.

By default, page cache is stored in server memory and cleared when the application restarts. Cached data expires automatically based on configured timeouts, commonly 5-15 minutes for public pages and up to 6 hours for AI news results. Some cached content may remain until its timeout expires or the cache is cleared.

Caching is used for performance optimization and does not change how your data is stored, shared, or retained. Cached data is subject to the same privacy protections as the underlying data.

Z-Coins

If you use a Zideons app that offers Z-Coins, we may process wallet, allowance, purchase, balance, redemption, or usage records needed to operate those in-app features. Z-Coins, whether granted for free or purchased, have no cash value and are intended only for use within participating Zideons apps and services.

Sharing and service providers

We rely on service providers to operate the site, including Firebase Authentication, Google Cloud Firestore, Google Cloud Storage or Firebase Storage for uploaded assets, and Google Gemini (if enabled).

Restricted areas

Certain site-management tools are restricted to authorized Zideons personnel and are not available to regular users or visitors.

Your choices

You can choose whether to contact us by email. You may also set or clear your cookie preferences in your browser, although disabling essential cookies may prevent sign-in and account features from working properly.

New users can create an account with email/password or Google. If you sign up with email/password, you must verify your email before you can sign in.
